Paula Tobey

Ahniin Boozhoo Gakina awiya! My name is Paula Tobey, and I am the proud owner and sole creative force behind The Wild Native Collection (TM). My Anishinaabe name is Ondaassiway Miigwan Niimikaan (Coming from a certain place the Feather that Danced), and I am a proud member of the Beausoleil First Nation, belonging to the Thunderbird Clan.

This collection is where my passion for nature, creativity, and cultural heritage have finally converged.

As a mother of four, a full-time Indigenous Program Coordinator, and a student pursuing my Chartered Herbalist degree, I recently had to step back to address burnout. That necessary rest allowed my spirit to reconnect with the core inspirations behind this business: nature, creativity, and cultural heritage.

The Wild Native Collection (TM) is where these passions converge. As a painter, I capture the vibrant, rugged beauty of the natural world. As an herbalist-in-training, I handcraft self-care remedies infused with the purest intention to nourish the body and soul. From wire-wrapped jewelry to leatherwork, every piece is meticulously crafted to embody the spirit of the land that shaped me.

I am actively learning Anishinaabemowin to honor my ancestors, and I invite you to join me on this path of natural living and cultural exploration. Thank you for supporting my art and my commitment to a life lived with intention.

G’chii Miigwech for being a part of The Wild Native Collection (TM)!
